Floating Lantern — Construction Progress
This new floating home is taking shape within one of the most unique build envelopes we’ve worked with to date.
For Floating Lantern, HOA restrictions defined a very specific “slice of space” for the second story. Rather than fighting those constraints, the design embraced them. The angled upper level, roofline, and covered decks all stem directly from the required view corridors—resulting in a form shaped entirely by its site.
With 200-degree waterfront views and glass spanning two full elevations, the home is designed to live right at the water’s edge. Multiple outdoor spaces—including a future roof deck with a hot tub—will allow the homeowner to experience the lake from every level.
Still early in construction, the spirit of Floating Lantern is already present. Light, water, and a design that makes the most of every allowed inch are beginning to come together—proof that thoughtful architecture often emerges directly from the constraints that shape it.
