Designing Around What Matters Most
Some treasures are worth designing around.
For this kitchen, the homeowners discovered an antique store find they instantly fell in love with—a beautifully crafted island rich with character and history. Rather than treating it as an accessory, the design process began by making it the anchor of the space.
The entire kitchen layout was shaped to honor the island’s proportions, craftsmanship, and presence. Circulation, cabinetry, and sightlines were carefully considered so the piece could feel both intentional and effortless—exactly where it belongs.
The result is a kitchen that feels timeless and personal. A space designed not around trends, but around something meaningful. One that naturally invites people to gather, linger, and connect.
This project reflects a core part of our residential design philosophy: listening closely, recognizing what matters most to our clients, and allowing those details to guide the architecture.
