Nesika Chuck Floating Home — Lake Union
Floating homes on Lake Union offer a rare opportunity to live directly on the water while remaining connected to the city. This thoughtfully remodeled floating home captures that balance—pairing sweeping views with warm, livable design and a deep connection to its Northwest setting.
From Gas Works Park to the Seattle skyline, every sightline was considered. Windows and doorways are intentionally placed to frame the movement of the lake and bring natural light deep into the home, creating a constant dialogue between inside and out.
Inside, the design blends comfort and creativity. Warm textures, playful spaces, and layered color choices give the home personality while maintaining ease and flow for everyday living. The result is a floating residence that feels both imaginative and grounded—designed to support life on the water without sacrificing comfort or function.
This project reflects our approach to floating home design on Lake Union: thoughtful planning, close collaboration with the project team, and architectural decisions that honor both the structure and its setting.
