QUEEN ANNE KITCHEN REMODEL
The Queen Anne Kitchen Remodel transformed a small, constrained kitchen into a warm, flexible space designed for cooking, gathering, and everyday living. The homeowner loved to entertain, but the original layout, with its awkward peninsula and cramped dining area, limited how the space could be used.
By expanding the kitchen footprint and reworking the layout into a generous U-shape, the remodel created room for a breakfast table and improved circulation throughout the space. A movable island added versatility, allowing the kitchen to adapt easily to both daily routines and larger gatherings.
Care was taken to respect the character of the original home while introducing layers of texture and detail. Existing window proportions and trim were preserved, while new elements brought depth and warmth. The breakfast table was crafted from an antique ship’s hatch, antique butcher block was repurposed for work surfaces, and reclaimed lath was used on the ceiling to add subtle visual interest.
The result is a kitchen that feels both rooted in the home’s history and tailored to the way its owner lives, offering a balance of practicality, craftsmanship, and quiet character.
