LAKE WASHINGTON OVERWATER NEW HOME & DADU
The Lake Washington Overwater New Home & DADU began as a permitting-focused engagement and evolved into a comprehensive design and construction partnership. Initially brought on to oversee the complex overwater permitting process, the project expanded as the clients chose to retain ECCO Architecture for design services to refine the floor plans of both the main residence and the detached accessory dwelling unit.
Revisions focused on improving flow, functionality, and livability while maintaining a strong connection to the water. Thoughtful adjustments to layout and spatial relationships allowed both structures to better support daily life and long-term use, with careful attention given to how each home engaged its unique overwater setting.
Throughout construction, ECCO provided construction administration services, supporting the project from approval through completion. This continuity ensured that the design intent was carried through the building process and that technical, regulatory, and design considerations remained aligned.
The result is a cohesive overwater residential compound that reflects careful planning, collaborative problem-solving, and a seamless transition from permitting to design to construction on Lake Washington.
