Our clients' existing backyard sloped up toward the alley, and was empty but for a hottub. They knew that if they just got up high enough they'd have a great view of Puget Sound, and they needed more room to both house and entertain guests.

ecco designed a two-story structure that combines both function & fun. The guest room, nestled into the existing slope, opens out onto the patio & hottub area. Up one flight of the spiral stair, and you arrive at the alley-level garage. Up another flight, and you're on the roof. The rooftop patio is two levels, stepping up at the back to ensure water views. It's the perfect place for afternoon drinks & sunset dinners, as well as relaxing in a lounge chair with a good book.
