In addition to a growing family, these clients had other reasons to remodel: awkward circulation on the main floor, dangerous stairs, hopes for a Master Suite, and a difficult kitchen plan.

The new stairs are safe, code-compliant, and allow for better circulation. Adding a large dormer along the back of the house created more room upstairs. And by removing a few walls, we opened up the kitchen to the family room, and then provided better flow through the main floor rooms to the back yard deck.

ecco began this project by presenting the owners with a plan for the full scope of the work split into a series of phases. Working in phases, the owners got even more square footage than they initially thought possible, for the budget they had originally planned on.
